I saw a couple of cars advertised on CraigsList at Affinity Auto Sales that were in my price range. I met up with the owner, Dave, who greeted me with a smile. I proceeded to check out the cars on the lot, and told Dave that I was interested in the black Mercury Sable. He handed me the keys for a test drive, and upon return I told him to give me his best price. At no point did he pressure me or rush my decision. I took some pictures of the car and went home to research and ponder my decision. The next day I returned to purchase the vehicle. I told Dave that it would be a cash purchase. Most dealers insist that you take out a used car loan with them because they make additional money on the loan. When I told him that I would purchase the car with cash, he never even brought up the option of a loan. Dave is a class act, and he treated me like an old friend.
